This letter is to inform you that Dr. James Marroquin has decided to leave Capital Medical Clinic on September 30, 2022, to open his own concierge practice. Please help us keep our phone lines open and call his practice directly at 737-285-3770 for more information about his new practice. It has not been easy for us to see such an excellent doctor leave, but we wish him well.
With Dr. Marroquin’s practice closure, we want to assure you that your care will not be interrupted. Therefore, to ensure prescription refills or referrals are up to date, please coordinate with our office before August 30th.
Capital Medical Clinic has a new physician joining our team in October:
Dmitri Nikolaenko, DO, will be joining our practice on October 24, 2022. Dr. “Nik” is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He completed his medical training and residency in Iowa, where he was voted Outstanding Senior Medicine Resident. More recently he has practiced at the Heart Hospital of Austin where he also served in a leadership role. Since moving to Austin, he has enjoyed exploring the city by bike and starting a family with his wife, Anna. He is excited to meet you!
In addition to Dr. Nikolaenko, if you wish to remain a patient at Capital Medical Clinic, Dr. Nadeem Ansari and Dr. Robert Groves will be accepting a limited number of patients. To schedule an appointment, you can call our office or request an appointment through our patient portal. Please note that if you have an appointment scheduled with Dr. Marroquin after September 20 and wish to continue with Dr. Nikolaenko, Dr. Ansari, or Dr. Groves, please contact our clinic. The appointments scheduled with Dr. Marroquin after September 20 have been cancelled.
We also have a new Physician Assistant joining the practice on August 1. Jason Powell, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant with over 15 years of experience in primary care. Our physician assistants work closely with each physician coordinating care for preventative, acute and chronic care needs of each patient. Jason is an outstanding addition to our clinical staff.
If you choose to transfer your care outside of Capital Medical Clinic, you can contact Travis County Medical Society at (https://www.tcms.com/tmaimis/Travis/Directory/aspx) or you may contact your insurance plan to assist you in finding a new primary care provider. If you wish to receive your medical records from Capital Medical Clinic, please go to the forms section of the website (https://capitalmedicalclinic.com) and complete the medical records release. Upon receipt of release, copies of your records will be sent to you or your new provider. Original records will remain on file at Capital Medical Clinic.
We are excited about the additions to our clinical care team. We remain committed to the same excellent medical care that we have provided the Austin community since 1934.
