Staff shortages are affecting the medical field and Covid is still here. Meaning, this year was going to be a greater challenge for our Clinic in making sure we got our patient population vaccinated for this 2021 flu season. Well, we were prepared!
On September 12th and the 26th and October 10th, Capital Medical Clinic (CMC) held Drive-thru Flu Vaccination Clinics to allow our patients to get vaccinated with the flu vaccine from the safety and comfort of their vehicle. Patients simply drove into the CMC parking lot and were guided by volunteers to our vaccination tent lanes. Our medical staff then administered paperwork and flu vaccines for a speedy shot stop.
Lines may have been long but wait time was less than 5 minutes. Chick-Fil-A has nothing on our staff!
During the three Sundays we held our drive-thru clinic, we managed to vaccinate a total of 1,448 patients. We vaccinated 445 patients 75 and older the first Sunday, 471 patients 60 and older the second Sunday, and 532 patients 40 and older on the last Sunday.
