Biography
Susie Cobb is a nationally certified physician assistant with over 25 years of experience caring for patients in the Austin community. She has provided patient care in a variety of specialties including internal medicine, women’s health, and psychiatry.
Susie believes that the best health outcomes are achieved when patients and their families are empowered to be active participants in their healthcare decisions, and for this reason she greatly enjoys collaborative discussions and thorough patient education.
Susie is a native Texan, born and raised in Houston. A high school field trip to observe surgery at Baylor College of Medicine was the event that led to her desire to pursue a career in medicine. She went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin and found that her path to becoming a health care provider came full circle when she returned to Baylor College of Medicine where she completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.
Outside of the office, Susie enjoys hiking in the greenbelt, camping, and traveling. She also has a great love of the arts. Playing flute, piccolo, and handbells since sixth grade, she continues to play the flute in various ensembles in Austin, handbells with the St. Martin’s handbell choir, and piccolo with the UT Longhorn Alumni Band. Her greatest adventure has been parenting and the joy of watching her two sons grow into young adults and start their own lives.
