Biography

Dr. Merie is a proud Austinite. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Texas at Dallas in healthcare studies. Whereby he was awarded to the dean’s list and graduated amongst the top of his class. He then pursued his medical doctorate at The University of Texas Medical Branch. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin. He spent time training in both outpatient and hospital settings around Austin. His focus is in prevention and providing patient centered care that’s evidenced based and individualized to meet the complex and unique needs of all of his patients. 

He spends much of his time outside hiking, swimming, and traveling to new places. He is thrilled be joining Capital Medical to further give back to the Austin community.
