Our physicians practice in a group to combine their skills into a single professional unit where high quality medical services are readily available.
In this group practice setting, our specialized medical skills are complemented by full diagnostic services as described in this section.
X-Ray
An x-ray (radiograph) is a painless medical test that helps physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. Radiography can diagnose many things, ranging from pneumonia and other lung conditions to broken bones. X-rays are the oldest and most frequently used form of medical imaging.
Bone Densitometry
Also called dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) or bone densitometry, is an enhanced form of x-ray technology that is used to look for signs of bone loss. By measuring bone mineral density (BMD), DEXA is today’s established standard for the diagnosis of osteoporosis and related conditions.
Echocardiography
Using sound waves to create a moving picture of the heart. Ultrasound imagery is used to evaluate how well the heart muscle is pumping and how the heart valves are functioning. It is also used to determine the presence of many other heart and lung conditions and to follow the function of the heart in relation to treatment programs.
Pulmonary Function Studies
Pulmonary spirometry: an important screening test used in the evaluation of many pulmonary symptoms including shortness of breath, coughing and wheezing. Sometimes it can lead to a specific diagnosis such as asthma or can be the first step in guiding your physician in the further evaluation of your symptoms.
