Biography
I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Colgate University in upstate New York, then spent two years serving in the Peace Corps in Namibia. Upon returning, I completed my medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and spent three months working in a rural hospital in Zambia.
I went into medical school knowing I wanted to be a primary care physician. Throughout my training, I have intentionally built a broad foundation to care for complex medical conditions, emphasize prevention, and help guide patients through evolving advances in healthcare that improve their quality of life.
I completed my Internal Medicine residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago before making Austin my home. After two years practicing at CommunityCare, I joined Capital Medical Clinic in 2011.
I am passionate about helping patients stay healthy and taking a thoughtful, proactive approach to chronic health concerns. I value building long-term relationships and truly getting to know my patients, partnering with them to support their health goals.
In 2025, I affiliated with MDVIP to transition to a more personalized model of care. This approach allows for more time with each patient and a greater level of access and continuity. My MDVIP-affiliated practice offers comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic testing that extend beyond traditional primary care. With a smaller patient panel, I’m able to offer same-day or next-day appointments, unhurried visits, and direct access when urgent needs arise.
I currently maintain a waitlist for patients interested in joining my practice:

On a personal note…
Outside of work, I enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible. I was a collegiate rower and continue to row regularly on Town Lake. My husband and I met while serving in the Peace Corps more than 25 years ago, and we share our home with two dogs.
